Job Description/Responsibilities
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville's School of Nursing is seeking qualified applicants for a Nurse Practitioner position. The preferred applicant is responsible for providing direct care to the We Care Clinic REACH patients including assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing, developing diagnoses and treating patients who are seeking services through the We Care Clinic or the We Care REACH mobile health unit. The Practitioner may, under the direction of the We Care Clinic Director, see patients within the We Care Clinic. The Nurse Practitioner will participate in the clinical experiences of undergraduate nursing and Nurse Practitioner students placed at the We Care Clinic. In addidtion, the Nurse Practitioner will also participate in community outreach activities. The Nurse Practitioner will adhere to clinic practices that meet current clinical practice guidelines and abide with laws, rules, standards and regulations related to clinic operations. The work performed is to provide primary care and behavioral health care to patients eligible for care through the We Care REACH mobile health unit. This person will work closely with the interprofessional healthcare delivery team to ensure patients receive quality, safe, and coordinated care within the mobile unit and We Care Clinic. This position is funded through the We Care REACH mobile health unit grant and is contingent upon receiving ongoing HRSA grant support.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess a Master of Science or DNP in Nursing; board certified FNP.
- Two years' experience in clinical nursing or equivalent (RN).
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Psychiatric/Mental Health nursing experience.
- Full Practice Authority licensure.
- Demonstrated experience with health professionals in an interprofessional setting.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse and APRN in Illinois and Missouri.
