Job Description/Responsibilities
Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in the Public Health program. Other responsibilities include supervising graduate students, supporting growth and expansion of programmatic offerings (e.g., online MPH and travel study), research, and departmental school and university service. Teaching assignments may include evening courses. Summer assignments may be available, depending on enrollment and funding.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Public Health or in a closely-related field. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and local public and private agencies and organizations. ABD candidates are encouraged to apply but must have completed the doctoral degree by August 13, 2024.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates who show evidence of a) their ability to teach face-to-face and online courses related to global health, environmental health, biostatistics and/or mixed methodology content, research methods, program planning, and program evaluation; b) demonstrated interest in working with or teaching diverse students and c) readiness to support growth and expansion of programmatic offerings. Terms of Appointment
Non-tenure-track visiting professor, nine-month contract with potential for renewal up to three years. Summer assignments may be available, depending on enrollment and funding. Beginning date of appointment is in August 2024.
