Job Description
The SIU School of Dental Medicine is in search for an Assistant/Associate Professor or Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in Pediatric Dentistry. This is a full-time, tenure or clinical track position. This position's responsibilities include all aspects of didactic and clinical education in pediatric dentistry for both predoctoral students and postdoctoral Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residents. The Section of Pediatric Dentistry provides instruction, supervision and treatment in the Main Clinic of the SIU-SOM, the East St. Louis Clinic of the SIU-SOM, the Surgical Center in our Advanced Care Clinic, and at Alton Memorial Hospital. The candidate must be eligible for privileges at these facilities.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable in providing lectures in a pre-clinical setting and supervision and instruction in the care of a diverse pediatric patient population who present with varying degrees of challenges in their lives.

Minimum Qualifications
A D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree from a US or Canadian dental school, or foreign equivalent. A teaching or permanent license to practice dentistry in the state of Illinois, or the qualifications to obtain one. Candidates must be graduates of an advanced education program in Pediatric Dentistry and be board eligible or board certified. Prior dental teaching experience is desirable.
