Dean’s Welcome

Dean Rose

Thank you for your interest in the School of Education, Health and Human Behavior (SEHHB) at SIUE. Since 1958, the SEHHB has prepared teachers and administrators who are widely sought after by school districts in the region.  Today, our education programs are still going strong, and the school now has a thriving and more diverse set of programs that prepare future professionals in fields such as public health, nutrition, psychology, speech-language pathology, exercise science, and college student personnel administration. You can find the full list of our undergraduate and graduate programs here.

Professors in the SEHHB place particular emphasis on experiential learning, and often involve students in their field and laboratory research. Our students engage in internships, field experiences, and student teaching. Some students participate in studies abroad, and some provide services in our Attention and Behavior Clinic, Speech-Language-Hearing Center, or Curriculum Center.

Our undergraduate and graduate advisors, and our award-winning faculty and staff in general, focus on student needs. We aim to create the most innovative and inclusive learning environment possible. Please take a moment to catch the latest news about our school's teaching, research, and service by visiting our Twitter page, our Facebook page, and our newly-revised website for alumni and friends.
