Registration Dates:
- October 30, 2023 (Monday) - Registration opens for Seniors (90 Earned Hours or Senior with Degree), priority registration groups
- November 2, 2023 (Thursday) - Registration opens for Juniors (60 to 89 Earned Hours)
- November 6, 2023 (Monday) - Registration opens for Sophomore (30 to 59 Earned Hours)
- November 9, 2023 (Thursday)- Registration opens for all students
Complete your FAFSA
The 2024-2025 FAFSA opens Oct. 1st and you should complete it ASAP! It is vital that students complete their FAFSA to apply for federal aid. Questions? Contact the Office of Student Financial Aid.
How to Register for Classes through CougarNet
Check out the information on the "How to..." page for assistance on getting registered. If you are having trouble, you can come into the SOAR office for assistance.
Where can I find the classes that my advisor recommended?
You can find your course recommendations for next semester either in Degree Works - click on Plan and then select the "notes view," or on the Advising MAP provided by your advisor during your appointment. Still not sure? Contact your advisor.
Health Services
- Learn about the Mandatory Health Insurance Policy. If you currently have coverage, follow the steps to waive the SIUE coverage.
- Turn in your Immunizations (https://cougarcare.siue.edu/) Must be in before first day of classes to avoid late fee.
Holds
If you have not done so already, be sure these tasks are completed
- Complete your U GOT THIS sexual violence prevention training through Blackboard.
- Bursar’s Office- make sure your account is up to date.
Testing Services
- Take recommended Placement Test(s)
- Proficiency Exam opportunities
- Practice for the QR Proficiency Exam. Fill out them form to Register for proficiency exam.
- Foreign Language Proficiency Exam: Recommended if you have 3-4 years of foreign language in high school.
Health Experience
- Here is the link for the SASS presentations to get your health experience waived.
- Military & Veteran Students- submit military credit to waive your health experience.

November 10th- Final installment for Fall 2023 due.
December 8th- First installment for Spring 2024 courses due. Classes dropped if payment not submitted to University
