Gain professional experience while completing your degree through Co-ops and internships. These opportunities will help you take what you learn in the classroom and apply it to real life. You will learn more about your field of study and make important connections that may help you find a job once you graduate.
More than 200 individual employers hire SIUE students for internships and Co-ops each year. Opportunities can be found in virtually any field of study, ranging from business to non-profit.
How to Participate in a Co-op or Internship
Search for open positions on Cougar Jobline and/or contact the CDC for a Job Search appointment
In order to access Co-op and internship positions on your activated Cougar Jobline account, you must have completed the following:
1. Log in and complete your profile, Update your demographic profile
2. Have your resume approved by doing the following:
a. Contact the CDC to make an appointment with a Career Counselor: 618-650-3708
OR email your resume to careerdevelopment@siue.edu for an electronic review
b. Have your resume approved before you upload it to Cougar Jobline
I have secured a Co-op or internship, now what do I do?
1. Contact the Career Development Center for detailed instructions at 618-650-3708
