Gertrude P. Pannirselvam received her Ph.D. in Operations Management
from the Arizona
State University. She holds an MBA from the University
of New Hampshire and a Bachelor of Engineering from PSG
College of Technology, India. She is currently an Associate
Professor of Management at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.
Her research and teaching interests include quality management,
operations strategy, process analysis, facilities design, and scheduling.
She is especially interested in the measurement of quality and customer
satisfaction. She has published articles in these areas in the Journal
of Operations Management, International Journal of Quality and Reliability,
Productivity and Quality Management Frontiers, IIE Solutions, as
well as in the Proceedings of Decision Sciences Institute Meetings.
Dr. Pannirselvam has worked in the Indian automobile and cable industries.
She was involved primarily in process design and production and
materials planning activities. She has consulted with a number
of manufacturing firms in process design and improvement. Dr. Pannirselvam
is a member of the Decision
Sciences Institute, Production
and Operations Management Society, and the Institute
for Operations Research and Management Science. She serves on
the Review and Advisory Board for International
Journal of Integrated Supply Chain Management and on the
Editorial Board of the Quality
Management Journal.
