We review and interview local artists and provide information on venues and shows.

My name is Zach and I'm an independent musician from St. Louis. This blog brings attention to other St. Louis artists that might otherwise go largely unnoticed.

Internet publications, such as Pitchfork and Gorilla vs. Bear, aim to attract the largest amount of independent music listeners as possible, overlooking a large portion of independent artists. In Place will hopefully draw attention to those unnoticed artists. So, I won't be writing about the latest Kanye West album, or how Daft Punk Punk's Grammy performance was, or even the latest on Tim Lambesis' plot to murder his wife (yes, that actually happened).
