My name is Taylor Halloran and I am from Waterloo, IL which is about 40 minutes south of Edwardsville. I attended Gibault Catholic High School in Waterloo where I played baseball, basketball, and golf. I am now a junior at SIUE and I am currently majoring in Applied Communications Studies and minoring in Communications. However, I am thinking about swapping my major and minor. I plan to graduate in the spring of 2016. Some of the previous jobs I have had include working in the meat department at Schnucks, umping baseball and softball games, and working for First National Bank of Waterloo as a courier.
In my free time I like to play golf, watch sports, listen to music, and hang out with my friends. I am an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Notre Dame Football team. I have gone to many games of these two teams over the years. I have gone to several playoff games of the St. Louis Cardinals the past few years including Game 7 of the 2011 World Series. I was also lucky enough to attend the Homerun Derby in 2009 when the MLB All-Star game was held in St. Louis. I have also been fortunate enough to go to some of the biggest games that the Notre Dame Football team has played in recent years. I began attending Notre Dame Games four years ago with my uncle and we have continued to go every year since. Over the past four years I have seen Notre Dame play the likes of Michigan, Stanford, Southern California, and Air Force.
Some of my pet peeves include being late, not getting an answer back quickly, people planning things that end up not happening, among others. My plans for the future are to get a job in the St. Louis area with a sports team or to work for a large corporation in corporate communications or public relations. I would like to not have to move out of the St. Louis area for a job, but I am willing to do so to get my career off the ground.
