I chose to attend Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville after interviewing there for an Army ROTC scholarship. Along with ROTC I also felt that the field that I wanted to pursue a degree in, speech communication was very well regarded by those I had spoken with about it. I also agree with what had been told to me prior to enrolling, the speech communication department at SIUe has amazing professors that work hard to establish a very sound working environment. Their hard work is then shown through the students they develop and the amount of effort that those students show through their work. I am very glad with the path that I have chose for myself, and especially glad that it is here at SIUe.
