Education:

I am a senior majoring in Speech Communication with an emphasis in public relations and minoring in Mass Communications at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. In my future I hope to pursue a career in student affairs/ higher education. I pride myself on being able to be a well rounded student by maintaining at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher while being heavily involved in campus life.

Campus Involvement:

I am currently involved in many activities on campus that have sparked my interest in the student affairs field. I have been a Resident Assistant (RA) for two years. Working in University Housing has been a great expereince for me, teaching me skills in communication, time management, and helping me to develope in more ways than I could have ever imagined. During the summer I work with incoming students as a freshman orientation leader through the Springboard to Success program. In addition to my RA position in the school year I also give campus tours to prospective students and families as a STAR (Students assisting in recruiting). I am always looking for more ways to give back to my university and help other students the way that many people helped me. Some may say that I am too busy but I say there is no such thing when you enjoy what you do!
