Hi everyone, my name is Keri Thierer. I joined this world on May 27, 1990 and each and every day since has been one of a kind. I currently attend Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and plan to graduate with a degree in Speech Communication focusing in Interpersonal with a minor in Psychology. I do not know where the road will lead me next but am prepared for the journey. As for now, I am happy working in the College of Arts and Science advising office at SIUE and babysitting little ones as much as possible.

I hope to take every opportunity that comes my way to learn and grow. Getting this far with one year left has been the biggest achievement in my life because I never gave up even when it got tough. It has opened my eyes to a new environment and showed me that there is more to life than fitting in with the “cool” crowd. I have learned to have an understanding of other people’s point of view and different lifestyles.  My childhood was fast paced which forced me to become independent and realize I wanted a promising future. I think the best way to learn something is through experience which makes going through the different chapters in this crazy thing called life interesting. Even with all the hardships and setbacks I have encountered, I stay positive because everything falls into place at the end of the day.
