Kari Williams is a 2011 graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She is currently a freelance reporter for Call Newspapers in St. Louis, Mo. and a music writer for InsideSTL.com. She began working at Call Newspapers as a full-time reporter in December 2011, securing the position immediately after graduation. Kari returned to SIUE to pursue a Master’s degree in media management in January 2013. She also holds a graduate assistant position with This Week in CAS, a news hub for SIUE”s College of Arts & Sciences. While attending SIUE as an undergraduate, Kari worked for the student newspaper, the Alestle, as a reporter, opinion editor and editor in chief. When she is not busy writing, Kari enjoys spending time with family and friends and attending concerts and local wrestling shows.
