When I left home for my freshman year of college, I was anxious and excited.  I was ready to begin a new chapter in my life, and start my future.  I decided to go away to a school about four hours away from home, and I thought I knew how those next four years would happen.  I would take all the classes, have fun, make friends, and come out of school with a Nursing degree, but I could have not been more wrong.  Once I started my nursing classes, I realized that this was not the career for me so not only did I switch majors, but I switched schools as well. 

I moved back home and started attending SIUe and pursued a degree in the Speech Communication Department.  I will graduate with my emphasis in the Public Relations track, and I could not be happier.  I enjoy the fast-paced atmosphere, and am looking forward to see what lies ahead.   Switching schools and majors has been one of the best personal decisions I have made, but the memories made at Rockhurst will always hold a place in my heart.
