Chris Noonan joined on drums in 1991 and the Ellis/Noonan combination has propelled the band for over 30 years. Once the band added original music it caught the ear of industry folks, including St Louis drummer Dave Weckl, who recommended the band to contemporary jazz great Jeff Lorber in 2011. Lorber took the band under his production wing for the first full record, including Eric Marienthal and Nelson Rangell on saxes. Lorber plays on all the tunes and co-wrote four songs .
