Undergraduate Scholar Showcase
The culminating experience for the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Associate Program at SIUE is the annual Undergraduate Scholars Showcase, which is held in April each year. The Undergraduate Scholars Showcase is the formal avenue in which all URCA Associates and some URCA Assistants present their work to the University community, their family and friends, and provides an opportunity for students to present their impressive achievements in the URCA Program.
The Undergraduate Scholars Showcase is open to the entire University community and is often attended by URCA mentors, the URCA Board, Chairs of the Associates' departments, the Deans of the Associates' schools and colleges, the Provost, Chancellor, Vice Chancellors, and other administrators, faculty, and staff. Members of the SIU Board of Trustees and local media outlets have also frequently been present at the showcase.
All of the Associates and many Assistants provide posters and displays on their research and creative work. The Undergraduate Scholars Showcase is very well attended, serving as a true testimony to the high quality of research and creative activities undergraduate students achieved during their time at SIUE. Please visit the Provost office for more information.
