These scholarships are awarded when funding is available.
Study Abroad Ambassador Scholarship
The SIUE Study Abroad Ambassador Scholarship 
is based on a combination of academic performance, financial need and a willingness to serve as a Study Abroad ambassador upon your return to SIUE. These awards are funded through the SIUE Office of International Affairs in an effort to increase the number of SIUE undergraduate students participating in study abroad and to recruit study abroad students to be more involved with Study Abroad Office outreach, social media and various events.
The deadlines for applications for the Ambassador Scholarship are as follows:
- June 1 - for Fall semester study abroad programs
- November 1 - for Spring semester study abroad programs
- March 15 - for Summer semester study abroad programs
Value: $500 to $1,200 depending on program length and cost
Richard and Patricia Dremuk Study Abroad Award
This scholarship supports students planning to study abroad in countries in Central and South America which speak Spanish, Portuguese or French, excluding Mexico. Application is due at https://siue.academicworks.com/opportunities/5150 at least 6 months prior to travel.
Robert R. Phillips Study Abroad Memorial Scholarship
The SIUE Robert R. Phillips Study Abroad Memorial Scholarship is available to School of Business students on programs offered through the School of Business.
Value: $250
China International Study Award for the College of Arts and Sciences
The SIUE China International Study Award for the College of Arts and Sciences is available to two students who will be studying abroad in the Peoples Republic of China.
Value: $1,000
