Annual Events
Marchdown
The crowd-pleasing SIUE NPHC Marchdown, a step-show competition between the Divine Nine fraternities and sororities of the National Pan-Hellenic Council is hosted every spring semester.
Affinity Welcomes
Each semester, the KBEH hosts receptions to welcome students from traditionally underrepresented populations to campus. The Welcome programs serve as an introduction to specific resources on campus, allow students to meet and engage with one another in a purposefully inclusive environment, and provide activities for participation. The Welcomes also provide an opportunity for all faculty, staff, and students in attendance to mingle and get to know one another outside of the constraints of a classroom environment.
Affinity Graduation Celebrations
Each semester, the KBEH hosts ceremonies in honor of our SIUE graduates representing various historically underrepresented populations. These pre-commencement ceremonies celebrate the extraordinary achievements made by students who are members of traditionally minoritized groups.
National Student Employment Week
The National Student Employment Association (NSEA) has declared that the week of April 13th- 17th, 2026 will serve to celebrate those students who work with enthusiasm, dedication, and initiative to support their campus with a spectacular workforce. Show your appreciation for all the hard work and support your student employees provide for you and your office!
National Student Day
National Student Day is a day to acknowledge students and their acts of generosities within their communities. Campus Activities Board hosts events and giveaways in the Goshen Lounge while Student Government provides golf cart rides to class.
Popcorn and Positivity
Staff, faculty, and student leaders shared popcorn and spread positivity as SIUE students enter the penultimate week of the semester.
