Biography

Joseph Kusi, PhD

Dr. Joseph Kusi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Dr. Kusi earned his bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences from the University of Cape Coast, master’s degree in biology and PhD in environmental health sciences from East Tennessee State University, and a postdoctoral training from Christina Lee Brown Envirome Institute, University of Louisville. Before joining SIUE, Dr. Kusi taught environmental health graduate and undergraduate courses at Mississippi Valley State University as an assistant professor. His current research focuses on environmental exposures, water quality, and risk factors for waterborne diseases.
