Success Coaches
Our Success Coaches are knowledgeable staff members who work with students in individual and group settings to learn, develop, and practice strategies and habits needed to be successful in and out of the classroom. Success Coaches are here to meet you where you are and help you achieve your personal and professional goals through a culture of care that begins with your first visit.
Common areas Success Coaches address when working with students are:
- Time management
- Overcoming procrastination
- Developing good study habits
- How to access mental health, learning support, or classroom accommodations and student support
- Understanding course expectations
- Navigating campus resources
Success Coaches work with students throughout their collegiate experience to navigate the highs and lows of being a college student. From navigating the transition your first few weeks on campus to ensuring accountability in your final weeks before graduation, we are here to support your holistic growth at SIUE!
Students can request a Success Coach in Starfish or be referred to one by their Academic Advisor.
