Become an Instructor
First Semester Transition Instructor Qualifications
Faculty and full-time instructors with at least one year experience at SIUE are eligible to teach FST 101. Instructors should be prepared to mentor students through their first semester and follow the standard syllabus for the course.
First Semester Transition Instructor Expectations
- Follow the course outline and assignments
- Attend monthly faculty development workshops while teaching the course
- Be aware of the University resources pertinent to first-semester students
