The mission of the SIUE Department of Pharmacy Practice is to foster and advance the development of pharmacy graduates capable of meeting the diverse patient care needs of the region. Through educational programming and professional services, the department provides students, faculty and pharmacy practitioners with varied and meaningful opportunities that enable them to:

Meet Our Current Pharmacy ResidentsThe department embraces a philosophy of patient-centered care. The dedicated and enthusiastic faculty facilitate contemporary coursework. The progressive, experiential education program creates a nurturing environment for optimal student learning.
Clinical Services & Outreach
The department is dedicated to advancing the profession through the provision of advanced care models in a wide variety of practice sites. Pharmacist faculty care for patients in dozens of practice sites, which range from wellness programs to critical care units and from pediatric specialty hospitals to home visits for the elderly. By modeling the next generation of pharmaceutical care, we are able to be professional mentors for students and pharmacists while improving the health care of central and southern Illinois citizens.

The Mission of the SIUE Department of Pharmacy Practice is to foster and advance the development of pharmacy graduates capable of meeting the diverse patient care needs of the region. The Department furthers the mission of the SIUE School of Pharmacy by striving for excellence in teaching/learning, scholarship, and service-related activities including both patient care and community engagement.
