Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga

Back by popular demand, Campus Recreation will be offering 3 evenings of Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga at the Vadalabene Center Indoor Pool on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, September 3rd
  • Wednesday, September 4th
  • Thursday, September 5th

Give 30 Mentor Program

Give 30 Mentor Program

Please join the SIUE School of Education, Health and Human Behavior for an information and training meeting about the Give 30 Mentor Program.

Give 30 is a mentoring program that is designed to provide at risk youth with positive support in their lives. The program is designed for students who have been identified in their school as someone who may be heading in the wrong direction and needs a mentor figure.

Information meetings will be held on Thursday, September 5th from 4-6pm and Friday, September 6th from 1-3pm. Both meetings will be in SIUE Lovejoy Library Friends' Corner, which is on the main floor. For more information, please contact Taylor Donohoo at 618-296-4448.

Mantra Meeting

Mantra Meeting

Mantra, a new student organization, will be hosting their first meeting on Friday, September 6th in the MUC Willow Room from 6-7pm. Please join Mantra in discussing the Bhagavad-gita, an ancient text that explains the philosophy of life. The Bhagavad-gita is very famous all over the world and it was Ghandi's favorite book. After the discussion, they will practice mantra meditation together. No prior experience in meditation is needed!
