Health Awareness Fair

Join CAB, Student Nurse Achievement Program, and various community organizations as we aim to inform and provide prevention tips on health conditions that effect the African American community, including but not limited to Type II Diabetes and Hypertension. There will also be an opportunity to take a 10 minute study break with yoga and zumba.

"Conflict/Controversy with Civility"

According to the report "Workplace Conflict and How Businesses Can Harness It To Thrive", 85% of employees deal with conflict on some level. By attending this session on conflict management, you will learn how you can utilize your conflict management style in the workplace and learn effective conflict resolution strategies. Free lunch will be provided! Free Mental Health First Aid Class and Certification

Free Mental Health First Aid Class and Certification

Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course lead by a qualified instructor from USA Mental Health First Aid. It is broken down to two days. Tuesday, February 12th from  5 - 9pm and Tuesday, February 19th from  5 - 9pm in SSC 1203.

This course teaches you how to help someone who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. The training helps you identify, understand and respond to signs of addictions and mental illnesses. You will be certified at the end of this course. It is free and open to SIUe students, faculty members, staff and community members. You can use the link to sign up and reserve your spot in the class.

Apply to be a Cougar Guide

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs is seeking well-rounded students to participate in the development and implementation of the SIUE Experience Program as Cougar Guides. Cougar Guides will play a key role in the transition of new students by guiding and leading them through their first days at SIUE. Cougar Guides will have the opportunity to build relationships and interact with university staff and faculty, while leading a team of students beginning their SIUE journey. Individuals selected will serve as role models and mentors to incoming SIUE students, and will be responsible for making the SIUE Experience informative and fun for student participants.
