The Kimmel Student Involvement Center with generous support from the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affirs is pleased to announce the first SIUE session of the LeaderShape Institute.  The Institute weaves together concepts of community, inclusive leadership, vision, and integrity to help participants explore not only what they want to do, but who they want to be.  The six day, intensive leadership experience is being offered free of charge for 60 SIUE students May 7 thru 12, 2018.  Applications are due Friday, March 2nd.  You may learn more about LeaderShape HERE.  You may apply HERE!  For questions, contact Michelle Welter at mking@siue.edu.

Join CAB for the 3rd installment of their Just 4 Laughs series Tuesday. SIUE proudly welcomes Last Comic Standing's Francisco Ramos to the Meridian Ballroom. Admission is FREE and so are the laughs! Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with Francisco going on at 7:00 p.m. 

MUC Late Night Poetry

If you like poetry or know someone who does, Late Night at the MUC will be having a poetry slam. There will be prizes, food, drinks, and live poetry. Come out and enjoy some poetry for the night!

Cougar Kids Saturday

Join us for some Fun with Fossils as we welcome the St. Louis Science Center for a fossil excavation lab. Learn about different types of fossils, dig for dinosaurs, and meet Rex the T-Rex! Tickets are available at the MUC Welcome Desk. The first three children in each family are free for SIUE students, each additional child is $3.  All tickets are $3 for SIUE faculty and staff. Contact Abigail Gnewikow, agnewik@siue.edu, with any questions regarding Family Programming. 

Cougar Fest

The Cougar Fest is our annual spring fair that is a combination of the Fall Merchant Fair and Volunteer Fair.  Stop by on your lunch break to visit some of the area businesses and nonprofit organizations.  You will also have a chance to win some great attendance prizes!

Personal Training Prep Course

Have an interest in becoming a personal trainer? Campus Recreation is hosting an American Council on Exercise Personal Training Prep Course to help you prepare for the exam!  $50 for students, the course will run from Jan 24- April 30 on Wednesday evenings and Friday afternoons.  To sign up, stop by the Student Fitness Center Reception Desk.  For more information, contact Amanda Couch at amcouch@siue.edu or 618-650-5392.

African Night

The annual Africa Night Celebration will take place this coming Saturday! There will be African food, dance, drama and fashion! Please come join in the festivities. Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for faculty, staff, and non-students. Tickets are available at the MUC Information desk.

Celebrating Community: A Window to the Future
January 27th

Wildey Theater
Restore Décor cordially invites you to join their first ever community celebration and private sale. All proceeds from the event will help fund Restore Décor in 2018. Their goal is for 100% of sales in the new year to be donated back to the community. Tickets are $50 and include hors d'oeuvres, 2 drinks, music and the opportunity to purchase Restore Décor furniture pieces created especially for the event.

The legendary classic rock band Head East returns to the Wildey Theatre for 2 nights! Their high-energy shows are filled with superb vocals, flashy guitar work and memorable keyboard melodies that continue to rock audiences of all ages. Their signature song, “THERE’S NEVER BEEN ANY REASON (Save My Life)" has long-been considered by many radio stations across the country as "The Rock & Roll National Anthem." For more than four decades the band has brought classic rock to countless audiences all across North America.

Yoga at the Wildey
3rd Tuesday of the Month
