Please Note Today's Meeting for Supplemental Retirement Plans

The Office of Human Resources hosts SIUE Supplemental Retirement (403b) Plan vendor meetings on a monthly basis. This allows employees to plan ahead to meet with any of the three vendors.

Participation in the SIUE Supplemental Retirement (403b) Plan can help supplement your retirement income and

• Lower your annual taxes since your 403(b) contributions can be made on a pre-tax basis
• Provide tax deferred growth on your investment earnings because they grow tax-free until time of withdrawal
• Contribute to Roth plan options based upon vendor selection

The 2016 limits for the 403b Plan are $18,000 for employees under age 50 and $24,000 for employees age 50 and older.

Now Accepting Fall Nominations for the Newly Revised Employee Recognition Program

Do you work alongside someone who has a strong commitment toward achieving excellence in their work? Why not nominate them for the Employee Recognition Program award?

The Employee Recognition Program criteria and eligibility have been recently updated. New criteria allow for repeat nominations based on departmental changes and/or length of time from prior award selection. The new criteria will take effect Thursday, Sept. 1 for October award submissions.

The Employee Recognition Program Award is an esteemed accolade bestowed on an employee who epitomizes the University’s core values in his/her daily work. The employee is engaged in accomplishing the mission of the University and routinely exceeds the call of duty.

The program is designed to recognize staff for their exceptional accomplishments and service to our community. Awards are presented once a month at a departmental ceremony. All monthly recipients are also recognized at the annual service awards reception.

For the revised nomination criteria and the updated nomination form, visit EmployeeRecognitionProgram

October nominations must be received by Monday, Sept. 19.

For more information, contact Jen Oates-Blair at 650-2127.
