Attend the IRIS Center's brown bag workshop on the digital humanities tool, Omeka.

The digital humanities is an innovative methodology for analyzing and presenting research. It involves the creation of dynamic scholarly archives or the development of new digital tools for analyzing languages, literature, images, spaces, and/or periods.

If you're curious about the ways in which you can apply this methodology, Omeka may be a tool of interest for you. Omeka is a software tool that enables you to create dynamic online exhibits that showcase collections of digital images, text and other multi-media formats in one seamless site.

The SIUE Department of Art & Design will hold Saturday Studio Art Workshops:

9:30-11:30 a.m.
February 13-April 16 (no classes on March 12)
Art & Design West

Studio instruction is being offered for primary, intermediate and junior/senior high school students. All classes are designed to stimulate creative growth of students with emphasis on developing skills in the use of the media and generating ideas for creative expression. Art teachers in these Saturday Studio classes are becoming certified art specialists and are art majors in the Department of Art and Design.
