Lifelong Learning Begins Jan. 27

Lifelong Learning begins Wednesday, Jan. 27 with Kenneth Moffett, PhD, associate professor in
political science and Jeannie Dinning, Speech Center coordinator and Career Development lead and lecturer. 

The Politics of the 2016 Presidential Primaries will be presented by Moffett.
The candidates and issues surrounding the election will be discussed.

How SIUE is leading an educational revolution through Learning Support Services will be presented by Dinning. The Student Success Center concept centralizes a variety of services that focus on providing essential support for many SIUE students and potential students. Learning Support Services is one of these vital student services located there. This program offers the support and skill building that offers that foundation for success. This presentation is an introduction to Learning Support Services at SIUE, just exactly who it is for, what specific services are offered by the university, and examples of classes and tutoring available. A tour of the Learning Support Services Department is also included in the presentation.

Don't Miss Out on SIUE's Music Lovers Tour of Cuba

There are a few more openings for the SIUE Music Lovers Tour of Cuba. 

Though the date to register has passed, it is possible to sign up for this once in a lifetime trip, scheduled for this May. Explore the diverse Cuban cities of Havana, Trinidad and Cienfuegos. Listen and learn about the variety of different music styles in these three cities.

Check Out the Speech Center's Offerings this Spring

The Speech Center, a part of Learning Support Services located in the Student Success Center, is offering in-classroom presentations and workshops throughout this spring semester.

These can include practical tips and workshops for various aspects of public speaking and presentations, or simply a brief overview of the services we offer to students.  

If you have a class where students are required to give presentations and you think that they could benefit from our guidance, we would love to set up an in-classroom presentation at your convenience.

2015 W-2's Now Available

We are pleased to announce that 2015 W-2’s are ready and available online
through CougarNet (Banner Self Service).

If you have already signed up to receive your W-2 online through CougarNet
you may log in,view and print your W-2 for 2015 (and previous years if applicable).

  • Select the Printable W-2 button at the bottom of the screen to print your W-2. 
  • Print multiple copies for submission to federal, state and local entities, if needed.
  • Review Help Text (top right corner) for information on how to print an
    approved format for different web browsers and for a brief description of
    each of the codes that may be listed in Box 12 of your W-2
    .

If you did not sign up for this early on-line method, you may sign up now through
CougarNet or a paper W-2 will be mailed to you at the end of the month.

or you may view the instructions on how to sign up and receive an electronic
