SIUE Homecoming Community Events
Come to campus to celebrate the University, connect with the campus community and honor the memories made and accomplishments achieved at SIUE. For each day of homecoming, there are different events for everyone to attend.

Be part of SIUE's 4th Annual Cougars Unleashed Homecoming Run! Community members, students and alumni are encouraged to participate. Race proceeds benefit SIUE Alumni Association Scholarships. Due to the popularity of this event, all participants are encouraged to register online prior to race day. All SIUE alumni will receive a $5 discount when registering! After the run, stay and enjoy family entertainment and a pancake breakfast. Breakfast is included in your race entry fee. Interested in participating in Cougars Unleashed? Student organizations and groups of friends serve up their best chili recipes! All money raised goes back to the student organizations (Sponsored by Campus Recreation). Chili will be judged throughout the event and a winner will be announced. The two categories are “Best Tasting Chili” and “Most Creative Chili”. The community is encouraged to come out and purchase tickets to sample chili. Registration is only required for those entering chili for the competition.

SIUE welcomes alumni, students, fans and friends to participate in the Cougar Fan Zone before the homecoming soccer game. This energetic event is located on the east parking lot at Korte Stadium. The Cougar Fan Zone opens three hours prior to the start of the homecoming game and ends at game time (4-7 p.m.). All vehicles must park in the north lot at Korte Stadium. To ensure the safety of all Cougar fans Cougar Fan Zone Guidelines were developed. Guidelines will be enforced, please read all guidelines before the event. Alumni are encouraged to pre-register for the alumni tent. The alumni event will include a free concert featuring Dirty Muggs, inflatables, food and beverage, and lots of fun. Additional food and beverage will be available for purchase from a variety of food trucks and through beer concessions. We hope to see you there!
