Kathy Bouman lost her battle with Alzheimer’s and died Monday, Oct. 12 at a retirement community in Evanston. She was 74.
Bouman worked as an instruction specialist in SIUE’s Lovejoy Library from 1998-2014. Her late husband, Thomas D. Bouman, was a professor of chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences. She has a memorial scholarship endowment in his honor.
