SIUE 2025: The Year in Photos

The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville communications team ends the year with a look back at 2025 with images from University photographer Howard Ash.
The recorded events in order of appearance are as follows:
- 42nd annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Luncheon keynote speaker Donzaleigh Abernathy, activist and author, goddaughter of Dr. King
- Faculty and Alumni perform with the SIUE Concert Jazz Band during An Evening with The Chancellor at Jazz St. Louis
- For the first time in 17 seasons as Division 1, SIUE Men's Basketball wins the OVC Championship and advanced to “The Big Dance”: March Madness.
- Ribbon-cutting at the opening of The Wedge Powered by SIUE in Alton
- Nursing students prepare to cross the stage at SIUE 2025 May Commencement
- Children perform “Disney’s Finding Nemo, Jr.” as part of the numerous SIUE summer camp offerings
- Class of 2029 photo of more than 1,000 new Cougars at the end of Convocation and parade
- Cougars in the Community is an annual day of service. During fall 2025 students volunteered at Evercare of Edwardsville
- SIUE celebrates Homecoming & Family weekend with the Cougars Unleashed 5k, 10k and Fun Run
- Hundreds of Cougars joined the annual Edwardsville Halloween Parade
- SIUE Preview Day welcomes new Cougars and families to campus
- SIUE ends fall 2025 with December commencement and a joyful Megan You, student speaker for the SIUE School of Business
