The popular finance company, WalletHub, recently consulted Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s Jie Ying, PhD, assistant professor in the School of Business, for an article about available credit cards for people with fair credit. On March 25, SIUE Athletics hosted the inaugural Cougars Career Networking Night, presented by Northwestern Mutual Fairview Heights-Clayton, in First Community Arena. This hybrid event included over 130 student-athletes and 40 business professionals and provided a platform where the high achieving student-athletes at SIUE had the chance to network with the companies that support and enhance their student-athlete experience.

Linda Colombara-Buffo, 63, of Troy, Ill., died on Tuesday, March 19 in Maryville, Ill. She was born September 22, 1960 in East St. Louis, Ill., the daughter of Joan (nee Jokerst) Colombara and Joseph Colombara of Troy, Ill. Rosemarie Archangel, PhD, foundational faculty member, associate provost, and dean of the Graduate School, died Tuesday, March 19. She was 93.
Rosemarie was one of SIUE's pioneering members of the faculty. She earned her PhD in kinesiology and came to SIUE in 1962, establishing the Department of Physical Education.
