Experience Campus and Envision Your Future at SIUE
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville invites prospective students, their families, and guests to discover what the University has to offer by scheduling a campus visit this fall.
Daily Campus Visits and Transfer Visit Days give prospective students the opportunity to explore SIUE, experience campus life, and receive personalized guidance as they consider where to earn a college degree.
Offered throughout the week and on select Saturdays, Daily Visits welcome both prospective and admitted students. Each visit includes a 30-minute admission presentation followed by a campus and housing tour led by a current SIUE student.
During Daily Visits, guests learn more about the admission process, walk through the heart of campus, explore student housing, and hear directly from a student about what it is like to learn, live, and get involved at SIUE.
Specialized academic information sessions are available for prospective students. These dates and session times are available on the Visit website.
"Visiting campus is one of the best ways prospective students can gauge whether a school is a right fit for them,” said Alicia Taylor, associate director of admissions in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. “We are delighted to welcome students beginning their college search to campus to experience the excitement, energy, and opportunity here at SIUE.”
Transfer Visit Days offer a more focused experience for students who have attended a community college or another university and are considering transferring to SIUE. Participants can learn how their credits may transfer, receive tips for a successful transition to SIUE, and explore how easily they can continue working toward their educational goals.
“Transfer students are an important part of the SIUE community,” said Taylor. “Transfer Visit Days offer prospective transfers the opportunity to see how SIUE may be able to support the next step in their educational journey.”
Together, these visit opportunities allow future Cougars to connect with the SIUE community, get answers to important questions, and determine whether the University is the right fit for their academic and career goals.
