Kiyoko Proctor Earns Player and Freshman of the Week Honors from the OVC

SIUE's freshman Kiyoko Proctor has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Player and Freshman of the week.
Proctor caught fire during the two-game road swing, averaging 23.5 points per game. She knocked down 23 points at Tennessee Tech and followed with 24 at Tennessee State, shooting 48.6 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range.
She knocked down nine total-three pointers with a career-best six against TSU. In the game against TSU she also made a three-pointer at the buzzer in the third quarter that gave SIUE a cushion going into the fourth.
Proctor has now been the scoring leader for SIUE for 12 games, had three games with 20 or more points and 22 games scoring in double-digits.
Proctor and the Cougars will return home to take on Western Illinois Thursday. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
