Your Important First Steps
Congratulations on your admission to SIUE! Please follow these important steps before registering for Orientation.
Step 1: Confirm Your Enrollment
Are you ready to accept your offer of admission? Let's do it!
- Log in to your application portal.
- Enter your username.
- Enter your password or click 'Forgot password' and follow the steps provided to create a new password.
- Click on 'View decision letter.'
- Accept your offer of admission.
- Your enrollment is confirmed.
- Celebrate!
Step 2: Activate Your E-ID
To access the Orientation Portal and register for Orientation, you must activate your E-ID. Your E-ID is your key to unlocking SIUE’s online resources—your Orientation Portal, CougarNet, and SIUE email.
- Follow these steps to activate your E-ID
- Visit the E-ID Activation Page.
- Enter your Student ID (found in your acceptance materials).
- Follow the instructions to create your password and security questions.

Step 3: Join the Orientation Portal to complete your Task List Items
Now that you're officially an SIUE student it's time to get ready for Orientation.
Orientation is mandatory for all first-year and transfer students, because it’s proven to help set the stage for greater success throughout your college experience. We can't wait to see you on campus!
