Beth Giese joined the University Marketing and Communications (UMC) team in 2005. As assistant director, she is responsible for ensuring clear and effective communication of the University brand through the development and execution of comprehensive communication plans and publications. She provides editorial review and approval of all externally focused content. Beth provides project management and content development support for the Chancellor's Office; East St. Louis Center; Enrollment Management; Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion; Provost's Office; Online and Education Outreach; International Student Affairs; and Vice Chancellor for Administration.
She earned a bachelor's in business from the University of Northern Iowa with an emphasis in advertising. Her marketing and communications career includes experience in health care, parks and recreation, utilities, manufacturing, and publishing. Beth brings a diverse background in marketing, advertising, content development, strategic communications planning and project management to the UMC team.
Beth enjoys walking her pups on the trail, reading, and spending time—virtually and in person—with family and friends.
