SI Leaders
Summer 2022
We have 19 SI leaders and 3 team leaders at SIUE this semester. SI leaders are knowledgeable, qualified students who have taken the targeted SI course on campus and received a good grade. Team leaders are veteran SI Leaders who act as mentors to the members of their content-based team.

In the SI program, we value excellence in all aspects of college life, which includes academics, extracurricular activities, and volunteer work. Our leaders are actively involved in college life. We thought it fitting to showcase our leaders and their accomplishments.
We asked each leader to list their future job hopes and prospects, as well as participation in clubs, organizations, internships, scholarships, research work, and volunteer work.
Biology Leaders
Chloe Mishler-Trerice (She/Her/Hers)

Future Job Hopes/Prospects: I hope to be a speech pathologist in an elementary school. Additionally, it would be wonderful if I were able to apply my knowledge of Spanish in my job.
Other important information (clubs, organizations, internships, scholarships, research work, volunteer work, etc.): I am a member of the SIUE Tandem club and recipient of the Cougar Pride scholarship. In the past, I was a member of the SIUE Billiards Team, but they are not meeting currently.

Future Job Hopes/Prospects: I am hoping to attend either Physician Assistant school and specialize in orthopedic surgery or attend medical school and become an orthopedic surgeon.

Future Job Hopes/Prospects: After graduating I aspire to work in an ICU and return to school to obtain a graduate degree as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist or as a nurse educator.
Other important information (clubs, organizations, internships, scholarships, research work, volunteer work, etc.): Outside of the classroom, I have had the opportunity to work as an URCA research assistant at the SIUE School of Nursing. Additionally, I am a member of the Honors Student Association and the Powerlifting Club.

Future Job Hopes/Prospects: After graduation from SIUE I hope to further my education at a US Medical School to become a Physician. I am open to all medical specialties but right now I am interested in both Radiology and Neurology.
Other important information (clubs, organizations, internships, scholarships, research work, volunteer work, etc.): On campus I participate as a member of The Pre-Medical Association, Pre-Health Hub, and I am the Vice President of the Flute Club. I have also worked the past 2 semesters as a Chemistry PLTL leader. I have been honored to be a St.Elizabeth Health Foundation Scholarship Recipient for the past 2 Academic years, a Cougar Pride scholarship recipient, as well as being on the Dean's list all semesters so far. Outside of SIUE I am a freelance private tutor in both Chemistry and Flute performance, additionally I have been working in Edwardsville as a Nursing assistant since the Spring of 2020.

Future Job Hopes/Prospects: I hope to work in or own a local pharmacy one day and to know and have personal connections with my future patients. I plan to start working in a pharmacy as soon as I can!

Future Job Hopes/Prospects: I plan to work at Memorial Health as a nurse until I have enough experience to enter the Nurse Anesthesia program.
Other important information (clubs, organizations, internships, scholarships, research work, volunteer work, etc.): Along with being an SI leader, I also work as a Chemistry PLTL leader, lifeguard, and IM official on campus. I am a member of several organizations including SNA, women's club basketball, and women's club softball. And I am currently attending school on a grant provided by Memorial Health and on several scholarships including the Cougar Pride.

Future Job Hopes/Prospects: I would like to earn my PhD in economics and work as a monetary economist/data analyst within the Federal Reserve Bank System.
Other important information (clubs, organizations, internships, scholarships, research work, volunteer work, etc.): I am currently the president of the Student Economic Association and a proud member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. This fall, I will be working as an URCA research assistant researching demographic inequalities across waves of COVID-19 waves with Dr. Ari Belasen. I will be working as a summer intern in the community development department at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, and I am a provost scholar as well as in the honors program here at SIUE.

Future Job Hopes/Prospects: In the future, I plan on going to graduate school or pursuing a career in electrical engineering. I plan on working in a team comprised of different specialties of engineering to allow me to grow my knowledge of my field as well as other disciplines.

Future Job Hopes/Prospects: While I hope to have experience in both theater and business in the future, managing a theater is a dream of mine so I can use a combination of what I've learned at SIUE.

Future Job Hopes/Prospects: After graduating SIUE, my main goal is to attend and graduate from law school. From there, I hope to have some sort of legal career in the public sector, or as a public interest attorney. After that, if I get bored, I'll become the president, first of the United States, then the world. Then, I can peacefully retire as a park ranger.
Other important information (clubs, organizations, internships, scholarships, research work, volunteer work, etc.): Outside of classes I am the Chair of the University Center Board, the treasurer of Alpha Phi Omega (a co-ed, service fraternity), and a proud member of the Honors Student Association and Roundnet Club. I am also an internship with the Illinois Innocence Project, and I recently completed an research project on the relationship between eviction and crime.
