Graduate School Research Symposium - Student Presentations

Presentation Structure

Participants will accompany their printed poster summarizing their research activities and will engage with attendees to answer questions. Participants with content that does not fit a traditional poster presentation format are welcome to display artwork, perform a musical/dance piece, or showcase technological achievements.

Presenter Commitment

Participants will be expected to attend the duration of the event, from 11:30am-1:00pm. 

Eligible Participants

All SIUE graduate and professional students who have made progress in their research & creative activities are eligible to present! We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to gain practice in sharing your work with an audience from a variety of backgrounds. 

Presenter Registration
To register to present, complete the online registration no later than the deadline of Sunday, March 15, 2026
Poster Guidelines
  • See your registration confirmation email for full details on poster guidelines!
  • All student presenters are strongly encourage to reference the 5 Tips for Creating an Effective Poster early in their poster planning process!
  • Posters must be self-supported (either via a tri-fold board or table easel brought by presenter) as EASELS ARE NOT PROVIDED.
  • Posters must be no larger than 48 inches (width) by 36 inches (height) as presenters will share a six foot table with another presenter
  • SIUE's ITS provides poster printing for a fee for presenters who wish to utilize this paid service. If you are interested in utilizing this service, review  the deadlines and required information on the ITS printing services website.
