Thesis Guidelines
Your final thesis or dissertation must follow specific formatting guidelines and be submitted electronically for approval by the Graduate School. As you begin the process of formatting your thesis, be sure to review the Graduate School thesis guidelines and reference the document frequently as you format your paper.

The following resources may also be helpful as you implement the thesis guidelines in your paper:
- Graduate School Sample Thesis- This is an example of a condensed thesis formatted according to the Graduate School thesis guidelines. Refer to the thesis guidelines for more expansive formatting help.
- Student Formatting Checklist- This is a condensed version of the thesis guidelines and thesis workshop content. Once you are ready to submit your thesis, use page 2 as a checklist to see if your formatting matches or is close to matching the formatting your thesis reviewer will be looking for.
LaTeX Thesis Template
The majority of students will use Microsoft Word as their word processing program. However, students who are including detailed formulas and calculations may want to consult their advisory committee on using the LaTeX template.
