Illinois Arts Council (IAC) FY27 Creative Projects Grant – Individual Artist Only
Posted June 3, 2026
Discipline(s): All
The IAC FY 27 Creative Project Grant was formerly known as the Creative Catalyst Grant. Creative Project Grant is an IAC grant program that supports arts project and programming requests from individuals, 501(c)(3) organizations, units of government (i.e., schools, parks, and libraries, etc.) or institutions of higher education. The general premise is that IAC no longer sets parameters for arts projects, but applicants drive what arts projects need funding. IAC will not be evaluating the “value” of the project, but only its viability.
Please note SIUE as an institution is not eligible to submit to this grant because we were a Recipient of the FY25 Creative Catalyst Grant.
But individual artists and arts educators that are 21 years or older and have been established as Illinois residents for a minimum of 1 year are eligible. Individuals may not be currently enrolled in a degree-obtaining program, including a college or university in any undergraduate or graduate program. Ph.D. candidates need to have completed their coursework by the application deadline to be eligible. If you are an individual artist who was a Recipient of the FY25 Creative Catalyst Grant nor Recipient of the FY26 Creative Projects Grant you are not eligible to apply.
Please review all of the grant guidelines online as well as play to attend the webinar.
