Description: Generative AI is changing the way we design and deliver learning experiences. This workshop introduces faculty to two critical areas: prompt engineering and AI-enabled teaching. You’ll learn how to craft effective prompts that turn AI tools into powerful partners for creating engaging, customized content. We’ll also explore practical guidelines for integrating AI into your teaching in ways that enhance student learning while maintaining rigor and transparency. A highlight of the session is the “jagged frontier” exercise, in which participants will engage hands-on with AI to identify teaching use cases where AI excels and those for which AI is not a good fit. By the end, you’ll have actionable strategies for using AI thoughtfully and collaboratively, plus insights into its evolving role in higher education. Please note this session is 90 minutes.
Space is limited in in-person sessions.
