Featured Programs

Executive Education

The School of Business Executive Education program delivers customized leadership, management, and technical training for working professionals and organizations across the region. Signature offerings include the Construction Leadership Institute, a nine-week program developed jointly with the SIUE School of Engineering that has trained more than 600 emerging leaders in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry over its history, along with Project Management certification prep, data analytics and supply chain training, and fully customized on-site corporate training. Small Business Development Center (SBDC)  

The Illinois SBDC for the Metro East at SIUE provides confidential, no-cost advising to entrepreneurs and existing business owners across the Metro East. Trained counselors help clients with business plans, financing options, marketing, and management, while a full calendar of seminars and workshops, including our annual Metro East Startup Challenge business plan competition, supports everyone from first-time founders to established companies looking to grow. International Trade Center (ITC)

For nearly four decades, the Illinois SBDC International Trade Center at SIUE has helped small businesses across southern Illinois navigate the complexities of international trade. In 2023, the ITC received the Presidential "E" Award for Export Service, one of only four U.S. organizations honored that year and the only university-based recipient nationwide. The ITC delivers no-cost, confidential export advising: from identifying foreign buyers and distributors to securing export financing and preparing companies for international trade missions, helping regional businesses compete and grow in the global marketplace.
