MPA Program Intern Spotlight: Sadie Spears, MPA
When Sadie joined the MPA program at SIUE, she was aspiring to become a leader and make positive impacts in the community, but wasn’t quite sure what steps to take. So, she reached out to faculty members of the department. Sadie was introduced to the MPA internship program and then became an intern with the Economic Development Department for the City of O’Fallon, Illinois. Sadie gained the experience and exposure she needed as a professional in her field. Because of her exemplary performance and internship experience, Sadie Spears is now a Planning Technician under the Community Development Department for the City of O’Fallon.
