| I
am currently chairman of the Department of Educational Leadership,
and teach courses in instructional technology and educational
psychology. I received my Ed. D. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute
and State University (Virginia Tech) in 1989. Coming from a
background in music and an interest in electronics and music
during the 1970's, I was focused on computers, instructional
software design, and educational psychology during my time at
Virginia Tech. Since then, I've pursued research that focuses
on the characteristics of learning with hypermedia and multimedia
computer systems, and the processes utilized to design effective
instruction. More recently, I've been involved in efforts to
integrate technology into the classrooms and curricula of area
schools in Illinois and Missouri. I also continue to develop
instructional and training software in my role as a consultant
for various companies. Please contact me if you have any questions.
