| I
teach courses in instructional technology and work with faculty and staff to develop online courses and programs. I received my Ed. D. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute
and State University (Virginia Tech) in 1989. Coming from a
background in music and an interest in electronics and music
during the 1970's, I was focused on computers, instructional
software design, and educational psychology during my time at
Virginia Tech. Since then, I've pursued research that focuses
on the characteristics of learning with various interactive media, and the processes utilized to design learning opportunities. More recently, I've been involved in efforts to
integrate technology into the classrooms and curricula of area
schools in Illinois and Missouri. I also continue to consult
with various companies about learning, training, and design processes. Please contact me if you have any questions.
