SALUTE is a National Honor Society devoted solely to recognizing the outstanding scholastic achievements of Veteran college students.
Benefits of Individual Membership Includes
- One-time payment for lifetime membership
- Resume and application component
- A certificate and military-style challenge coin commemorating the individual’s membership in SALUTE and their specific level of academic achievement
- Opportunities to network, as well as receive and give assistance to fellow members
- Purchase graduation regalia to demonstrate their academic achievements as veterans
- Participate in future SALUTE programs
- Participation in the induction ceremony during spring semester
Associated Fees
- $35 fee for initial membership
- $10 additional fee for upper mobility of GPA tiers; this will allow members to have more scholarship opportunities (certain qualifications may apply)
- Additional fees for purchase of SALUTE cords and stoles
Eligibility
- Undergraduate student with a minimum 3.00 GPA who have completed 12 credit hours
- Alpha Tier GPA: 3.75-4.00
- Bravo Tier GPA: 3.50-3.74
- Charlie Tier GPA: 3.25-3.49
- Delta Tier GPA: 3.00-3.24
- Graduate students need to have completed 9 credit hours, hold at least a 3.5 GPA, and will be classified as “SALUTE Gold Member”

- Please visit the SALUTE Payment Site
- Purchase SALUTE Individual Membership
- Purchase Optional Graduation Stole (White/Blue) for undergraduate, or (Gold/Blue) for graduate, Honor Cord, etc.
- All Optional purchases will be delivered to Veteran Services. They will be disseminated at the induction ceremony. If for some reason the item is needed please contact Veteran Services.
- Turn in the following to the Veteran Services Help Desk in the Service Center:
- Receipt from Individual Membership Purchase
- Unofficial Transcript; (retrieved from CougarNet)
- DD214, NOBE (If you do not have a DD214 or NOBE other forms of proof may be submitted for verification)
