SIUE Enrollment Picture Promising for Summer and Fall, Registration Opens March 14

Registration for both summer and fall 2016 terms begins Monday, March 14. With several months to go before summer and fall census, the enrollment picture is promising for both summer and fall as of this week.

Due to the record spring enrollment and strong retention trends, 600 more continuing students are eligible to register for upcoming terms compared to this time last year.

In addition, new student applications for summer term are up five percent for freshmen, 10 percent for transfers and 42 percent for international students. Graduate program admits are up two percent for summer.

Although it is still early, deposits for the new freshman Springboard Registration program are at a record high and two percent above last year.

Thirty-four percent more graduate students have been admitted for fall term compared to this time last spring. The fall term admit rates for new international and transfer students are nearly identical to this time frame last year.

Additional information regarding fall applications, Springboard deposits and housing deposits can be tracked on the Enrollment Management website.
