The Teaching, Learning and Technology Fair has concluded. Thank you to everyone involved in making this year's event a huge success!
The theme for this year’s Teaching, Learning and Technology Fair, was Spotlight on Technology at the e. A diverse group of faculty and staff was assembled to present 16 different sessions spotlighting the many ways technology is used in teaching here at SIUE. Session attendees were eligible to register for session attendance prizes including an iPod, a digital camera, and a flash drive.
Our keynote speaker was Professor Raymond Schroeder, Director of the Office of Technology-Enhanced Learning (OTEL) at the University of Illinois at Springfield, who spoke on “Syndicating Learning: Web 2.0 Connecting the Learning Community”. Feel free to watch the Keynote Address video.
The Vendor Fair featured approximately 15 vendors showcasing the latest technical products and services. Employees registered for prizes donated by vendors including a Tangent PC, iPods, DVD players, books, and software.
In addition to vendor booths, this year we provided a new “Technological Help” booth staffed by individuals from the Faculty Technology Center, the Office of Information Technology, and the Office of the Registrar, that answered your questions concerning any of the technologies they support including Banner and Blackboard.
