Employees at SIUE are offered Benefits through the State of Illinois insurance plan, which include health, dental, vision, life insurance, and flexible spending accounts.  Additional Benefits information can be found through the Department of Central Management’s website and MyBenefits Marketplace’s website.

Supplemental benefits are also offered as an SIUE employee such as long term disability, life insurance, and cancer/critical illness.  Please view the links to the left for more information. 

As an employee, it is your responsibility to notify Human Resources immediately when any of the following life changes occur and may impact your eligibility or your dependent's eligibility:

  • Newborn, newly acquired dependent(s) or loss of dependent(s)
  • Marriage, divorce, legal separation, annulment, or death of a spouse
  • Change in spouse or dependent's employment status, Public Aid or Medicare status that affects eligibility
  • Change of home address
  • Your payroll deductions do not appear to be correct for the amount of coverage you selected
