Putting the MANAGE in Project Management
Credits: 21 Contact Hours /PDUs
Fee: $ 950 (Includes all course materials and parking)
Course Description
Join us for this interactive three-day workshop built around a simple idea: project managers succeed or fail based on judgment, influence, and how they make decisions when things are ambiguous, rather than how well they follow a process. This workshop will give new Project Managers a chance to hear wisdom and stories from those who’ve stared conflict in the face and lived to tell the tale.
We'll walk through how to manage the core tenets of your projects, from scope, to conflict, to risk, and so much more. You'll practice actually managing each of these areas — making calls, handling pushback, adjusting when plans break down — instead of just learning how to document and report on them. Every module mixes the technical side of PM with the people side, because that's genuinely where most projects live or die.
Come ready to work and think through the kinds of decisions PMs face every day..

Individual Course Cancellation and Refund Policy
The SIUE Executive Education division of the School of Business reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course when necessary. The latter option may be exercised within one calendar year of the original course.
If you register and pay for a course and then withdraw a one week or more before the start date of the course, a full refund of the course fee less an administrative fee of $50 will be made.
If cancellation occurs less than one week before the start date of the course, no refund of the course fee will be made; however, at the discretion of the Director of Executive Education Programs, the course fee may be applied to a subsequent offering of the same or similar course with a course fee that is at least equal to the cost of the original course. If the course fee of a subsequent course exceeds the amount paid for the original course, the difference in the course fee amounts must be paid in full prior to the start of the subsequent course. An approved substitution must occur within one calendar year of the original course.
